DEMBAI explores the fallout of the digital age
fake news, hyperstimulation, social isolation, mass manipulation and the collapse of shared reality. All works were created by hand before the rise of generative AI — anticipating the synthetic culture now rapidly taking over modern life. This is not art about technology. It is art about what technology is doing to us.
This summer/fall, DEMBAI aims to launch its first large-scale exhibition:
22 monumental works confronting the chaos, anxiety and fragmentation of modern society. The exhibition is designed as an immersive experience moving through themes including media overload, digital addiction, consumerism, propaganda and emotional disconnection. Part of the proceeds and collaborations connected to the exhibition will support initiatives focused on mental wellbeing, digital awareness and human connection.
